THREAD by Elena Zucker at Little Y Theatre Company This August
Thread makes its American debut at the 2016 New York International Fringe Festival following a successful run in Perth, Australia. This one-woman show was written for Australian actress Mischa Ipp by award-winning playwright Elena Zucker. From NYC to Palestine, Mimi's world collapses with the inadvertent like of a long-lost love's dissident Facebook status. Identities unravel, as do the boundaries between fact and fiction, Jew and Arab, time and space.
Unresolved romance can ruin your life.
Actress Mischa Ipp works regularly on stage, film, TV and voiceovers. She won Best Actor for The Debt (PAC Screen Awards). NYC highlights include starring in the webseries Then That Happened, the feature film Set To Rise and working with PunchDrunk, The New Ohio Theater and audible.com. including O Walter, My Walter (C.O.W, NYC; Goldberg Prize for Playwriting).
Her Playwright/director Elena Zucker has worked with Mischa on multiple shows, work has been mounted in the U.S. and abroad, including Imaginary Prisons (Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Fringe First Nomination).
Martin Denton from Indie Theater Now has selected Thread as one of the Best New Play picks for this year's New York International Fringe Festival.
