Shotspeare's MACBETH to Play The Slipper Room This Halloween Season
Back by popular demand and fresh from Australia's Adelaide Fringe Festival, Shotspeare is returning to New York with an all new production of MACBETH for four performances only at The Slipper Room (167 Orchard Street, New York, NY 10002). Shotspeare brings the witchy tragedy to audiences just in time for Halloween, playing Wednesday, October 28 at 8pm; Thursday, October 29 at 8pm; Monday, November 2 at 8pm; and Monday, November 9 at 8pm.
Shotspeare incorporates a drinking-game sensibility and a drunkard's attention span into the staging of Shakespearean verse, cramming an entire play, five sword-wielding actors, a ridiculous amount of booze onto a stage and praying for the best. MACBETH is the second installment of the Shotspeare series. Most recently, Shotspeare toured globally with Shotspeare: Romeo and Juliet, playing to raucous crowds in New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Australia.
SHOTSPEARE PRESENTS MACBETH features Brian David Sloan, Heidi Brucker Morgan, Timur Kocak, Billy Marshall Jr, and Matthew Morgan, who also serves as director. Rachel Moll serves as stage manager.
Tickets for SHOTSPEARE PRESENTS MACBETH are $15 and can be purchased at www.slipperroom.com. For more information, visit www.shotspeare.com.
