Monday, August 6th, Shakespeare's Sister will present emerging playwright Shellen Lubin's new full-length play, "War Orphan." Featuring Cynthia Enfield, Anthony J Fusco, Matthew Gandolfo, Kris Lundberg and Susan Merson.

"War Orphan" explores two friends journeys through love, family and sexual identity from the 1960s to the 1980s. Meet Jeff who, over time, his family secrets are revealed and struggles with the term orphan due to the fact he looks different from mainstream society and is abandoned fighting his own personal wars.

Shakespeare's Sister presents a new playwright every Monday evening, now through August 13th from 6:30 - 8:30pm at The Delancey, located at 168 Delancey Street (between Clinton and Attorney - J, M, Z, F trains to the Delancey stop).

This will be Week Seven in the company's 2012 play reading series celebrating emerging women playwrights. Actors, audience, writers and more are welcome to join in this literary pow-wow sharing great works, which could be the next Broadway hit. Free event with a one drink minimum. Over 21+ only.
