Shakespeare's Sister Company Presents THE BIGSLEY PROJECT, Now thru 8/13

By:

The Shakespeare's Sister Company will present Catherine Castellani's new play, "The Bigsley Project", and will be casting from the audience for this project. Actors, come and play.

"The Bigsley Project" is a comedy about a boutique firm and the cast of characters that come with it in their fight to keep the doors of the company open. Join their many adventures and struggles with a final pitch for the company, that is anything but PowerPoint.

Monday evenings: Now through August 13th from 6:30 - 8:30pm.

Hosted by the Shakespeare's Sister Company, these readings commence at The Delancey, located at 168 Delancey Street (between Clinton and Attorney).

All are welcome to join in this literary pow-wow sharing full-length plays by women playwrights which could be the next Broadway hit. Actors, directors, playwrights and theater enthusiasts, help us make this a great event and we can't wait to see you there. Free event with a one drink minimum. Over 21+ only.

Shakespeare's Sister has discovered some great pieces launching its reading series with the American premiere of "Vanessa and Virginia", Beth Wright's play based on Susan Sellers novel about the life of our patron saint Virginia Woolf and her sister Vanessa, and Emma Wagner's "Iris", following the romantic coming of age story of a young girl.

Formed in 2008, The Shakespeare's Sister Company (SSC) is a not-for-profit theater organization supporting women in the arts. Our commitment is to produce established works and new plays by female authors, as well as by Sir William Shakespeare. Our mission is to address global change through the theater, including workshops with the community and literacy for youth.
