'Roger Nasser Is the One-Man Ten-Minute History of American Theater' Plays The Brick thru 6/30
Six of Six Productions and The Brick Theater, Inc. present "Roger Nasser Is the One-Man Ten-Minute History of American Theater," appearing as part of The Brick’s DEMOCRACY Festival, now through June 30. Created and performed by Roger Nasser and directed by Melissa Roth, the show features sound design and live music by Sarah Engelke.
Actor Roger Nasser takes the audience on a tour through the American experience by way of modern American theater. The evening consists of 10-minute parody performances of Our Town, A Streetcar Named Desire, The Crucible, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf and one of the greatest American musicals, in which all of the characters are portrayed by Roger Nasser. Who has time for all those full-length plays? Relive all of the most important moments of the American stage in one short hour.
Roger Nasser Is the One-Man Ten-Minute History of American Theater performs as part of DEMOCRACY, a theater festival devoted to themes of U.S. politics, at The Brick Theater (575 Metropolitan Avenue between Union and Lorimer Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn). Performances run Friday 6/8 @ 9pm, Saturday 6/16 @4pm, Sunday 6/17 @ 8pm, Tuesday 6/19 @ 8pm, Saturday 6/23 @ 7pm, & Saturday 6/30 @ 10pm
