RACHEL CALOF, starring Kate Fuglei and adapted by Ken LaZebnik from the memoir "Rachel Calof's Story' will open at the Fringe Festival on August 12, 2011. The show features original music and lyrics by Leslie Steinweiss and is directed by Ellen S. Pressman.

Devil's Lake, North Dakota, 1896. A Jewish picture bride arrives from Russia. Based on a real life story, RACHEL CALOF is a one-woman show; a memoir with music. Like the American frontier, it is bare bones, funny and inspiring.

The production will play at the Flamboyan Theater at the CSV Cultural Center (107 Suffolk Street New York, NY 10002) on August 12 at 5 PM, August 15 at 4:15 PM, August 19 at 2 PM, August 20 at 9 PM and August 27 at 2:15 PM.
