Quick Silver Theater Company Hosts Mentor Panels

For the past five years, Quick Silver Theater Company (QSTC) has facilitated the hands-on, professional training and mentor-ship of designers, stage-managers, and backstage crews of color. In August of 2019, QSTC will host two informative Mentor Panels, which will engage emerging professionals with established artists of color in the respective fields of Stage Management and Dramaturgy. Each night's panel will consist of mentors drawn from the ranks of hardworking professionals with resumes that include Broadway, Off-Broadway, and Regional Theater. The goal of our panels will be to eliminate barriers by fielding queries, creating an open forum for introductions, illuminating the occupational possibilities, successful best practices, and first hand insight into our ever-expanding community of theatre-makers.
NYC Metro Theatre Arts students are strongly encouraged to attend. In order to keep the events accessible to all, these panels will be offered on a pay-what-you-can scale.
MENTOR PANEL SCHEDULE:
- On Wednesday August 21st, 2019 from 7pm - 9 pm, QSTC will host its Stage Management Mentor Panel.
- On Thursday August 22nd, 2019 from 7 pm - 9 pm, QSTC will host its Dramaturgy Mentor Panel.
QSTC Mentor Panels will take place at the Episcopal Actors Guild 1 East 29th Street, NYC 10016, in Guild Hall.
Both discussions will be moderated by QSTC founder Tyrone Mitchell Henderson, and followed by a brief meet and greet reception.
Founded in 2014, QSTC is a collective of thirteen artists dedicated to amplifying the collective voice, individual potential, the overall presence of people of color, women and other marginalized groups within the American theatrical landscape.
