A Midsummer Nights' Dream is produced by Nanette Asher and directed and produced by Jonathan Emerson and co-directed by Joe Sebring.Tara Mary Schmitt is the stage manager and Rachel Blithe is the assistant stage manager. It has lighting and set design by Joe Sebring and Jonathan Emerson and costumes by Helyn Rain Messenger and Kathleen Fletcher. The photography and postcard design is by Noah Ehlert.

Queens Shakespeare's critically acclaimed Celtic reimagining of William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream returns for a limited engagement at the Home Made Theater at The Spa Little Theater in Saratoga Springs, NY and the American theatre for Actors in New York city.

It is an "enchanting" evening of fantasy and fairytales that deeply explores the Celtic folklore behind the characters in Shakespeare's funniest and certainly most magical comedy. The Faerie King and Queen are feuding and an enchanted forest has become their battle ground. The Faerie court and its many spirits are in upheaval; the Banshee are crying, the leprechauns are gallivanting, the elementals moody, and the pixies are....well, they're pixies. Tensions are high and there is a serious shortage of glitter. Not the ideal setting for a rehearsal of Pyramus and Thisbe. Nor is it the best place for defiant lovers to escape angry fathers and the unyielding law.

Co directors Jonathan Emerson and Joseph Sebring use folklore to enhance the storytelling while also providing a richer sense of the mythology and the heritage that inspired many of the characters in this "magical" tale. The environmental design (incorporating a hanging "forest" that allows for characters to make multidimensional use of the stage and set pieces that make use of puppetry) is an audiovisual sensory experience that brings audiences right into the heart of the forest. Helyn Messenger and Kathleen Fletcher's costumes beautifully bridge each character between the mortal world and the Faerie world which brings the folklore to life.
