The Seeing Place Theater, known for its intense and intimate ensemble work, brings you MEN IN WHITE by Sidney Kingsley - New York City's first professional revival of the play since The Group Theatre's landmark 1933 production. The show opens November 8, 2013 has a limited engagement through November 24, 2013.

Commonly referred to as the original "Grey's Anatomy" and the inspiration of today's medical dramas, Kingsley's racy and political Pulitzer Prize winning play was The Group Theatre's first critical success - and the first of its kind to take theatergoers into the heart of the operating room.

"The subjects explored and lessons learned in MEN IN WHITE are achingly relevant today," says Managing Director of The Seeing Place and the play's director, Erin Cronican. "At the height of the Great Depression citizens were grappling with the soaring costs of healthcare. Private insurance was introduced to provide opportunities to those who could afford it - leaving hospitals to scrape together funds to serve the charitable cases left behind. And though Planned Parenthood was created in 1916, women still had to play 'russian roulette' with their reproductive health until 1973's Roe v Wade decision. 80 years later, we are thrilled to be introducing this play to our generation, and hope to engage our community in a thoughtful discussion about how to address these hot button topics."

In line with their mission of making professional theater affordable for all New York audiences, general admission tickets to The Seeing Place's MEN IN WHITE are only $12 and are available by calling SmartTix at (212)868-4444 and at www.smarttix.com.

The ensemble cast includes Hillery Baker (Dorothy), Erin Cronican (Laura Hudson), Stephen Dexter (Dr "Shorty" Otis), Jim DiMunno (Dr McCabe/Mr Spencer), Michael Gnat (Dr Gordon), Mark Gorham (Dr Hochberg), Justin Hoch (Dr Levine/Mr Rummond), Logan Keeler (Dr Pete Bradley), Jessica Kelly (Nurse Mary Ryan/Mrs D'Andrea), Adam Levinthal (Dr. Michaelson/Mac/Mr Mooney), Nicole McLaughlin (Nurse Jamison/Mrs Smith), Martine Moore (Barbara), Brian Charles Rooney (Dr Cunningham/Dr Larrow), Frank Schiavone (Dr Wren/Mr Smith), Stewart Steinberg (Mr Hudson/Mr Houghton), and Brandon Walker (Dr George Ferguson).

Erin Cronican directs this first revival. The show has a limited engagement November 8-24, 2013 (Wed-Sat: 8pm, Sat-Sun: 2pm) at The Seeing Place @ ATA's Sargent Theater, 314 W 54th St, 4th Floor. For more information visit www.seeingplacetheater.com
