F.I.T.R. Productions presents Gruesome Playground Injuries, a dark, mystical and arresting love story by Pulitzer Prize finalist Rajiv Joseph (Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo). Ash Mayfair directs Priyank Rastogi and Jaz Zepatos. Fourteen performances will be staged at Teatro Circulo, 64 East 4th Street (bet. Bowery & Second Avenue) in NYC from tonight, April 10, through April 26, 2015. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!

Over the course of 30 years, the lives of Kayleen and Doug intersect at the most bizarre intervals, leading the two childhood best friends to compare scars and the physical calamities that keep drawing them together. Originally produced on Off-Broadway at the Second Stage Theatre in 2011 to critical acclaim, Gruesome Playground Injuries examines the meaning of the phrase "love hurts" in the deepest way possible.

Gruesome Playground Injuries is directed by award-winning film and theatre director, Ash Mayfair, who was trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts. Associate Producer: Kinjal Sankhe; Stage Manager: P. Tyler Britt; Set Designer: Laura Moss; Lighting Designer: Christina Watanabe; Costume Designer: Dori Jay; Music Composer: Nate Ziller.

Gruesome Playground Injuries plays for 14 performances from tonight, April 10 through April 26, 2015. Performances are Thursday-Saturdays at 8 p.m., and Saturdays & Sundays at 3 p.m. Tickets are $25. They can be purchased by visiting FITR Productions or by calling 804-404-FITR. The runtime is 85 minutes with no intermission.
