Urban Stages will present BEYOND WORDS, conceived and performed by Bill Bowers, through October 30, 2011. The official opening night is set for October 12. Preview performances began on October 7 and BroadwayWorld brings you photo coverage below. The production is directed by Scott Illingworth.

A collection of mime, monologues and music: In BEYOND WORDS, Bill Bowers chronicles the hilarious and traumatic business of becoming a man.

Set against his hometown of Missoula, Montana, Bill Bowers explores sound, silence and small-town America. His unique brand of storytelling brings light to conditions faced today by the LBGTQ community and he tells his stories with a tinge of Charlie Chaplin, a sprinkling of Buster Keaton, a foundation of Marcel Marceau, but most of all with a style all his own.

Bowers and Banta have collaborated in the past on IT GOES WITHOUT SAYING at Rattlestick Theatre. His other original works include 'NIGHT SWEETHEART NIGHT BUTTERCUP and UNDER A MONTANA MOON. Bowers' Broadway credits include THE LION KING and THE SCARLET PIMPERNEL.
