Olivia Pope Is Still Sinning And Now Singing at SCANDUSICAL
![]()
Lagata Scansion will present the third go-round and first run of it's tentpole musical parody, Scandusical. Testing it's wings after a successful debut as part of the Emerging Artists New Works Series in October 2019, Scandusical will be up and running for four dates, beginning March 11, 2020 at 8pm on the Striker Stage of The PIT Nyc. Featuring Rebekah D. Wilson, Alexis Braxton, Brette Morningstar, Daniel Taytro, Henry Eden, John Mooney, Kate Theis, Lorenza Bernasconi, Marcus Emel, Nick Lunetta, Raul Fox, Sadiqa Smith-Ford, Wilma Rajakorpi and Xan Oliva led by music director Melody Valdez.
With book/lyrics/music by verified superfan, Janice Lagata, this parody of the hit TV show, Scandal, is a fun and funny romp through the life and times of Olivia Pope, Washington D.C.'s most well-known crisis manager and undercover crisis. Thanks to a ridiculous amount of unfinished business with a romance from her past (present and let's be real, future) things are about to get messy and songs are about to be sang. Featuring a score of 26 original songs and a cast of 13, this popera follows Olivia, her associates, friends and frenemies as they race against time, each other and logic to keep their worst deeds from getting the best of them.
Scandusical runs March 11 through March 16 on the Striker Stage at The PIT. 123 E 24th Street, New York, NY. Tickets are $20 and are available online at https://thepit-nyc.com/events/scandusical/ or for $25 at the door.
