NY Int'l Fringe Festival Presents MOTHER at IATI Theatre, 8/12 - 28

Mary-Beth Manning is pleased to present her acclaimed one-woman show, MOTHER, directed by Roma Maffia as part of the 15th annual New York International Fringe Festival - FringeNYC, August 12th-28th. MOTHER will be performing at IATI Theatre (64 East 4th Street, btw Bowery and 2nd Ave.)

A daughter's journey to find herself, even with her mother's apron strings tethered around her neck.

An autobiographical rollercoaster ride about an extraordinary Irish-Catholic mother and her most complicated relationship. From survival to forgiveness, the ride includes all the insane life-affirming moments in between.

MOTHER, critically acclaimed, opened in the Fall of 2009 at the Imagined Life Theatre Los Angeles, CA. and was originally directed by Diana Castle. In 2010 it was re-staged by Mary-Beth Manning and actress Roma Maffia, and opened for a five month, sold out run at the Elephant Stages Theatre in Hollywood, CA. April 30th, 2010 and closed Sep.26th, 2010. The play ran again in a limited engagement at The Hudson Guild Theatre, Los Angeles in March of 2011. Mary-Beth Manning is an actor/writer who began her professional acting career at age fourteen in Boston, her hometown, when she starred as JoAnne Woodward's daughter in the Emmy award winning television movie ‘See How She Runs' produced by Paul Newman.

MOTHER will be playing the following dates:

Friday August 12 at 7 pm
Saturday August 13 at 2 pm
Sunday August 14 at 4:15 pm
Monday August 15 at 6:15 pm
Thursday August 18 at 8:00 pm
Friday August 19 at 5:15 pm

Tickets are $15-$18 and will be available online at www.FringeNYC.org or by calling 866-468-7619. Tickets may also be purchased in-person at FringeCentral or at the theatre 30 minutes prior to show time.

MARY-Beth Manning (Playwright/Performer) Off-Broadway debut was as Sister in the hit one woman show Late Nite Catechism at St. Luke's theatre.

Notable L.A. theatre: Best Solo Performance nominee for MOTHER by LA WEEKLY as well as OVATION recommended by LA Stage Alliance.

Dramalogue Award( aka Garland Award) for LIB- Best Ensemble Performance, Friends and Artist Theatre. Selected notable credits: Fools in Love and Spring Awakening both at The Odyssey Theatre in L.A., Isn't it Romantic at The Blank Theatre, L.A., Good Thing at The Hudson Theatre,L.A.
