I LOVE YOU, YOU'RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE is set to close on Sunday, July 27 at the Westside Theatre.  The production will have played a total of 5,003 performances and 20 previews, making it the second longest-running musical in Off-Broadway history after "The Fantasticks."  Opening at the Westside Theatre on August 1, 1996, the new musical immediately captured the attention of suburban theatregoers.  Once the reviews landed, with one critic famously hailing the show as "'Seinfeld' set to music!," I LOVE YOU, YOU'RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE was catapulted into its historic 12-year run.

New York's longest-running musical revue celebrates the modern-day suburban mating game.  Audiences fill the theatre with laughter as the cast explores the joys of dating, romance, marriage, lovers, husbands, wives, and in-laws.

The hilarious I LOVE YOU, YOU'RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE has surpassed the Broadway runs of such musicals as "My Fair Lady," "Annie," "Oklahoma!," "Grease," "Man of La Mancha," "42nd Street," "Fiddler on the Roof," "The Producers," and "Hello, Dolly!"  It is also the longest-running show ever in Denver, Dallas, South Florida, and Rochester.

Additional productions of I LOVE YOU, YOU'RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE have been mounted in more than 500 cities worldwide including Los Angeles, Toronto, Boston, Chicago, London, Tel Aviv, Mexico City, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Budapest, Sydney, Prague, Seoul, Milan, Rio de Janeiro, Johannesburg, Dublin, Buenos Aires, Berlin, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, and Taipei.  The hit musical has received eight international Best Musical awards, has been translated into 12 languages and has grossed over $200,000,000.

Last year, the Chinese company of I LOVE YOU, YOU'RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE performed in repertory with the American cast at New York's Westside Theatre.  When the Chinese version opened on May 9, 2007 for a sold-out four-week engagement, it marked the first time in U.S. history that a foreign language production of an American musical had ever been presented in this country.  The Chinese cast performed the show entirely in Mandarin with English supertitles projected above the stage, and they recently concluded an extended multi-city tour throughout China.

I LOVE YOU, YOU'RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE is also the most proposal-friendly show in town. Sixty-one times, a young man has taken the stage to make a surprise proposal to his sweetheart. In all cases, the brides-to-be happily accepted as the audience roared with approval.

Currently featured in the cast are Anne Bobby, Christy Faber, Jonathan Rayson, and Frank Vlastnik. The show is written by playwright/lyricist Joe DiPietro and composer Jimmy Roberts.  Directed by Joel Bishoff, I LOVE YOU, YOU'RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE is presented by James Hammerstein Productions, Bernie Kukoff and Jonathan Pollard.

The playing schedule for I LOVE YOU, YOU'RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE is Monday and Tuesday at 7 p.m., Wednesday at 2:30 p.m., Friday at 8 p.m., Saturday at 4 & 8 p.m., and Sunday at 3 & 7 p.m.  The Westside Theatre is located at 407 West 43rd Street (just west of Ninth Ave.)
