The Ateh Theater Group and CollectivePAST@chashama will present the world premiere production of Long Distance, directed by Bridgette Dunlap and Alexis Grausz. Long Distance will play a four-week limited engagement at chashama 217 (217 E. 42nd Street). Performances begin Thursday, August 9 and continue until Saturday, September 1. Opening Night is Thursday, August 9 (8 p.m.).

"Long Distance consists of three short plays by Judy Budnitz. In Skin Care, Amy's little sister went off to college and caught leprosy; in Visitors, Meredith's parents won't ask for directions and don't know a mass murderer when they see one; and in Flush, Lisa's mom will get out of her mammogram even if she has to break the laws of space and time to do it.  These funny and frightening plays ask us: how do you protect a loved one from a chaotic universe?," state press notes.  The production features Kathryn Ekblad, Charley Layton, Madeleine Maby, Sara Montgomery, Elizabeth Neptune, and Jake Thomas.

The production features scenic design by Emily French, costume design by Amy Van Mullekom, lighting design by Natalie Robin, and sound design by Chris Rummel. Hannah Miller is the stage manager.

Long Distance plays the following regular schedule through Saturday, September 1: Thursdays at 8PM, Fridays at 8PM and Saturdays at 8PM.

Tickets are $15 and are now available online at www.smarttix.com or by calling 212-868-4444.
