DESCRIPTION:
A rich and rousing musical revue with songs ranging from African chants and spirituals to Delta and Chicago Blues. Deeply spiritual numbers and raw and kinetic blues standards, with a healthy nod to the American popular song along the way. This is the first major production of this glorious musical revue since its Broadway debut in 1999. New Haarlem Arts Theatre (NHAT) is the new professional theater company of City College of New York (CCNY). This is the second production of its inaugural season.
