Horse Trade Theater Group & Grayce Productions' RIGHT CROSS RHAPSODY Closes 6/26

RIGHT CROSS RHAPSODY is an affectionate parody of 1930's-style films, which combines elements of Hollywood boxing melodramas such as Golden Boy and City for Conquest while adding a soupcon of backstage musicals. With riotous jokes, quips, double-entendres this movie parody is bound to please audiences of all ages.

RIGHT CROSS RHAPSODY will feature Jeff Auer, Courtney Cook, Matt Garner, Jason Griffith*, Brian Hopson, Jessica Luck, Todd Michael, and Ryan Stadler*. *Appearing courtesy of the Actors' Equity Association

The creative team will include Set and Costume Design by David Zwiers, Lighting and Sound Design by Walter Hoffman, Chandler Wild & Joemca, and an original song written by Lisa Ferber with music by Joemca.

The production, presented by Horse Trade Theater Group and Grayce Productions, will play at The Red Room (85 East 4th Street between 2nd Ave and Bowery) June 10-26, Thursday through Saturday at 8pm. Tickets ($18) are available by calling Smarttix at 212-868-4444 or online at www.horseTRADE.info

TODD MICHAEL (Playwright) Todd is the founding Artistic Director of Grayce Productions. Plays he's written with them include Bad Dames Go To Hell (The Red Room, 2003), Poverty Row Double Horror Show (The Red Room, 2004), The Greatest B-Movie Ever Told (FringeNYC, 2005), Vice Girl Confidential (FringeNYC Outstanding Ensemble Award, 2006; 2008 revival at Under St. Marks), Say Your Prayers, Mug (The Red Room, 2007), Tough Guy Don't Shoot Blanks (FringeNYC, 2008) and Buddy Becker's Big Uncut Flick (FringeNYC, 2009).

Walter Hoffman (Director) is an actor and director, born and bred in New York City. Recent directing credits include the revival of Vice Girl Confidential (Under St. Marks), Pvt. Wars (TBG Theater), The Return of Odysseus (TBG Theater), and Buddy Becker's Big Uncut Flick at the 2009 New York International Fringe Festival.
GRAYCE PRODUCTIONS Founded in 2001, Grayce Productions exclusively presents parodies and satires of 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s film, theater, and television.

HORSE TRADE THEATER GROUP is a self-sustaining theater development group; with a focus on new work, it has produced a massive quantity of stimulating downtown theater. Horse Trade's Resident Artist Program offers a home to a select group of Independent Theater artists, pooling together a great deal of talent and energy. It is also the home of FRIGID New York - the first and only festival of its kind in New York City.
