Gustafer Yellowgold Comes To DR2 Theater 2/26-4/2
Groovy Gustafer Yellowgold is a small, yellow, cone-headed fellow who came to Earth from the sun and has a knack for finding himself neck-deep in absurd situations as he explores his new life.
The multi-media Gustafer Yellowgold experience is equal parts pop rock concert and animated storybook.
Gustafer is not just for kids! Gustafer Yellowgold's Show has been the wild-card opening act for bands like Wilco and The Polyphonic Spree.
Time magazine called Gustafer's creator, illustrator/songwriter/performer Morgan Taylor, a "star of kindie rock." Entertainment Weekly praised "...the most infectious original songs. It's like tapping into some pleasure center in the brain- both adult and kid...absurdly appealing," The New York Times declared, "The show is a cross between ‘Yellow Submarine' and Doctor Seuss." The Chicago Tribune enthused, "Gustafer Yellowgold has made kids' music so cool that teenagers and ultra-hip bands such as Wilco want to get in on the act ... a shiny blend of pop art and pop tunes."
Join Gustafer in an all-new show, as he ventures on a hilarious, mind-bending journey in search of the toe end of the longest sock in the universe! The world premiere engagement of Gustafer Yellowgold's Infinity Sock will have a limited run at the DR2 Theatre prior to embarking on a national tour.
