Galli Theater has children's favorite fairy tales coming up this spring on Saturdays, and Sundays at 2 p.m. at its new residence on 347 West 36th Street, between Eighth and Ninth Avenues, Manhattan. Kids and parents can enjoy an unprecedented, interactive spin on the beloved stories, followed by a one-hour acting workshop for the kids on Saturdays. "Finally, an opportunity to expose your children to the fabulous world of theater in an affordable and age-appropriate setting", said Gabriella, editor of 8Moms.com.

MARCH - RAPUNZEL
Rapunzel lives in a tower guarded by the witch. One day, a prince discovers her and comes climbing up. But the witch will not tolerate this! Kids get engaged by helping Rapunzel and her prince find each other again.

APRIL - RUMPELSTILTSKIN
A pompous miller boasts that his daughter can spin straw into gold. The King demands that she prove her skill. But it will take a miracle! A mischievous dwarf will help her but wants something in return.

MAY - PUSS IN BOOTS
The only thing the Miller's Youngest Son inherits is a simple cat, but no ordinary cat is he. He can talk, he's witty, and he's got big plans! Soon the Miller's Son finds himself enjoying adventures, wealth and marriage to a beautiful princess.

JUNE - THE LITTLE MERMAID
In this uplifting remake of the original Hans Christian Anderson story a young Mermaid gives up her life under the sea to gain a human soul and the love of a human prince. The wicked Sea Witch gives her human legs in exchange for her beautiful voice. But how can she now express her love?

THE WORKSHOP
In the one-hour after-show workshop children are encouraged to dress up in costumes and act out their favorite fairy tale characters. The workshop is followed by a mini performance for the adults. "Galli's Fairytale Theater is a perfect place to bring your children and make them feel comfortable about the stage, the experience of theater, and maybe even the art of being in it," said Carol Cain, Managing Editor of NY Metropolista.

Playwright, clown, and director Johannes Galli has been bringing fairy tales to kids for almost 25 years. Believing that fairy tales are healing for children, he uses the original story but changes the "grim" version into a humorous play that entertains kids and adults alike and has a fun and educational message in the end. "Fairy tales go beyond religious, cultural, and literary developments and are still relevant in today's society," said Johannes Galli. "At Galli Theater it's our mission to help children and adults reconnect with the ancient wisdom of these tales and myths."
