FREESTYLE LOVE SUPREME Begins January 30 at Greenwich House Theater
FREESTYLE LOVE SUPREME, the highly-anticipated return engagement produced by Thomas Kail, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Jenny and Jon Steingart, and Jill Furman, will begin performances on Wednesday, January 30 at the Greenwich House Theater, 27 Barrow Street. A TodayTix lottery for 15 tickets a performance will be offered during the five-week engagement to help fans get tickets to the sold-out show.
The TodayTix lottery opens for entries each performance day at 12:01am and continues until winners are notified 2-4 hours before show time via email or push notification. Winners have one hour to claim and pay for tickets. Lotteries can be entered from the TodayTix website or from the TodayTix app on iPhone, iPad or Android devices.
A blend of hip-hop, improvisational theater, music, and vocal stylings, FREESTYLE LOVE SUPREME was conceived of by Kail, Miranda and Anthony Veneziale and will have an official press opening on Tuesday, February 12 and run to Sunday, March 3. There will be a special added benefit performance on Sunday evening, March 3 at 6:00 pm to support Ars Nova that will feature Lin-Manuel Miranda.
FREESTYLE LOVE SUPREME features six talented performers providing non-stop action throughout this fast-paced evening, spinning cues from the audience into humorous bits, instantaneous songs and riffs, and fully realized musical numbers. The electrifying vocals of the performers - from singing to rapping to beat-boxing with harmonies and freestyle flow - are backed by tight tunes from keyboards and human percussion.

FREESTYLE LOVE SUPREME will be a phone-free experience. Upon arrival, guests will secure all phones, smart watches, etc. in Yondr pouches, which they will maintain possession of throughout the night.
In name and beyond, FREESTYLE LOVE SUPREME pays homage to John Coltrane's "A Love Supreme", with a nod to musical roots in jazz, soul, blues and hip-hop. FREESTYLE LOVE SUPREME was originally developed and produced in 2004 by Ars Nova in association with Jill Furman.
The 75 minute show is directed by Thomas Kail and features set design by Beowulf Boritt; costume design by Lisa Zinni; lighting design by Jeff Croiter; and sound design by Nevin Steinberg. General Management provided by Baseline Theatrical.
