FOURTEEN FLIGHTS, a brand new psychological thriller, premieres on August 15th at CSV Kabayitos, as part of the 2011 New York International Fringe Festival (FringeNYC - a production of the Present Company).

The newest project from the team behind last year's Fringe show ART OF ATTACK, FOURTEEN FLIGHTS brings back to the stage Jared Houseman, winner of the 2010 FringeNYC award for Excellence in Performance, and also features Matt MacNelly and Maurice Williams. The play is written by Ryan Campbell, directed by Joshua Kahan Brody, and produced by Valerie Steinberg.

FOURTEEN FLIGHTS is the story of two pilots on the brink of madness, whose minds wander between their distraught personal realities and their surreal fantasies, occasionally settling on the open skies in front of them. When on one flight they manage to crash-land the plane and only half of the passengers survive, each pilot begins to direct his obsessive and needy mind on an imagined alternate personality, coasting the skyline of sanity.

The checklists are done, the plane has leveled off, the auto-pilot engaged. For now, you're just another passenger with nothing to do. Except wait. With nothing but a little mental free time on your hands. The sky out in front of you, the clouds down below. Your co-pilot strapped in next to you. Silent, lost in his own thoughts. Just as you are. Lost. In your own thoughts. Thirty thousand feet above your daily life. Where does your mind take you? To a good place? Or a bad one? You do your best to control them. Your thoughts. But you can't. Not all the time. Welcome to the minds of David Ratigan and Kevin Black, pilots for Eastern Airways. Join us as we follow their lives over the course of fourteen flights. Join us as we look into their thoughts. And see just how much control. Anyone really has.

Performances will take place Monday 8/15 at 5:15pm, Wednesday 8/17 at 8:00pm, Sunday 8/21 at 4:00pm, Monday 8/22 at 4:15pm, Friday 8/26 at 8:45pm, and Saturday 8/27 at 4:45pm. The venue is CSV Kabayitos, 107 Suffolk Street. Tickets are $15 advance, $18 at the door.
