How can something die that was never alive in the first place? ... Nestled in a setting of insistently unnatural flora and fauna, The Secret Death of Puppets is a collection of playlets about forbidden knowledge. Three stories, together an homage to the work of Victoria Nelson, are told with objects, puppets, and humans-as-objects. They examine our uncanny relationship to the inanimate, and the moments when we must abandon the safe and sunny realms of the alreadyunderstood in order to contend with certain... occurrences that may or may not be true, depending on what we choose to trust.
