Diversity Players of Harlem and the company of producers at DA'Right Entertainment are proud to present Die Laughing the Stage Play starring Dennis LA White who appeared with Angela Bassett, Derek Luke and Jamal Woolard in the 2009 award nominated feature film Notorious which has earned him numerous nods among industry insiders. White has over five feature films in production to his credit including Sweet Lorraine starring Tatum O'Neil and Queen of Media about the life of media maven Wendy Williams which also features Robin Givens, Lil'Kim and Trey Songz.
When [Michael Laurence] a struggling yet promising comedian played by Dennis LA White is suddenly diagnosed with breast cancer on the eve of the biggest break in his professional career, a series of revelations unfold which force him to revisit his stand up comedy routine and to explore his darkest musings in the private mirror of his public persona.
Die Laughing the Stage Play, written by Marq Overton and directed by Dwight Ali Williams is a tour de force and brave exploration of one man's struggle to push past the façade of ignorance and arrogance, in a quest to arrive at awareness and ultimate redemption.
