DONOR The Musical -- a raucous, edgy look at what happens when a college-aged sperm donor grows up and gets an unexpected visit from his five teenage offspring -- is expected to have its first workshop production in the Spring 2013. DONOR The Musical is an irreverent, honest, and funny pop-rock musical about contemporary families in America, where the definition of "parent" and "child" are constantly evolving.

In DONOR The Musical, a 19 year-old aspiring composer figures that donating sperm is the easiest and fastest way to pay for college. Twenty years later, his marriage, career and finances are on the rocks-which makes it the worst possible time for five teenage offspring to knock on his door, each needing something different from their dear old donor dad. This high energy emotionally charged new musical is an irreverent, honest and funny look at the contemporary American family.

The book of the musical is by two-time Emmy Award-winner Scott Cameron.

The new musical is produced by Burnt Umber Productions (Judi Krupp and Bill Gerber), producers of BENGAL TIGER AT THE BAGHDAD ZOO, AMERICAN IDIOT on Broadway, and David Cromer's OUR TOWN and The Show Producers (Zachary W. Lezberg), which presents the annual ShowBiz Expo.
