DEX! A KILLER MUSICAL Indiegogo Campaign Launched, Ends 8/20

TV's favorite serial killer comes to the stage!

A new crowd-funding campaign has begun for a parody musical adaptation of popular, long-running Showtime series DEXTER titled DEX! A KILLER MUSICAL, with funding set to end on August 20.

More information on the show is as follows: "Conceived & Produced by Cooper Jordan; Book by Erika Jenko; Music & Lyrics by Joe Schermann. Michael, the star of the Network's most popular TV Show, receives the script to its series finale. In upset, he madly leads the Network's Executives through seasons (eight, in fact) of madcap serial killing and singing! All the while exploring what it means to love, die, and to say goodbye. And of course bleed with laughter! Featuring songs such as "Brotherly Love" between two serial killing brothers, "It's a Messy Job" with Dexter using his plastic, and "Spatter Patter" as the tap-dancing Dark Passenger drives it home, DEX! is sure to please all fans and non-fans alike."

No casting for the production has yet been announced.

A KILLER MUSICAL Indiegogo campaign is as follows: "Dex! the killer musical is an all-volunteer team of NYC based theater professionals with one thing in common - a love of Dexter. We want to share this project with fans across the world and we need your help! After a successful set of Cabaret performances at "Times Scare" and "54 Below" "Dex!" has been accepted to the NYC Fringe Festival for 5 performances at the Lynn Redgrave Theater with prospects for an Off-Broadway run. This is where you come in! From blood-slide keychains to signed posters from our wonderful cast, we're hoping to bring "Dex!" to fans everywhere. We even have ways to bring the show to you!"

Incentives start at $5 and include a Dexter Fan Pack for $100 which includes, "An 8x10 signed character photo of Dexter & a print of Dexter's costume design, signed by the actor & costume designer for the NYC fringe production + your choice of a Dexter magnet or blood slide!" as well as Executive Producer level incentive at $1000 which includes, "An executive producer credit and your choice of any combination of the below listed incentives - plus! A guaranteed seat at the official Dex! opening at the Elektra theater (which you just helped make a reality!"
