Cutting Edge Voice Band SUBTLE PRIDE Announces Headlining Show at Dixon Place on 2/26
Following a series of enigmatic video clips in late January and an appearance at The Basement Bar earlier this month, improvisational voice band Subtle Pride announces an exclusive, one-night only concert at Dixon Place on Friday, February 26th at 7:30pm with an unprecedented sneak peek at the upcoming music video for their hit single "Blindfolded in a Bathtub with a Blood Orange," directed by fashion superstar and performing artist Marcelo Gutierrez (Marc Jacobs), with photography and editing by emerging filmmaker Sina Madeon.

Known for their titillating and amusing live shows, Subtle Pride simultaneously writes and performs their hyper-original music, creating hit songs that neither the audience or the band have ever heard before. Though often compared to tUnE-yArDs and The Velvet Underground, Subtle Pride eludes genre as they redefine pop music, breaking it down into its atoms and repurposing them into a performance that polarizes parody and earnest songwriting, pitting the two against each other and leaving the rest of us to decide: is this art novel? Or is it simply novelty?
Admission to the concert is free; reservations can be made here.
Subtle Pride features the talents of Misha Brooks, Zach Donovan, Brigette Lundy-Paine, and Mina Walker.
