Cast Announced for Staged Reading of MEDICINE THE MUSICAL

Startup Productions has announced the casting for the premier staged reading of Medicine the Musical, a new musical by Michal Ehrenreich. Directed by Rachel Klein with musical director Andy Peterson, Medicine the Musical will be performed at two showings on April 24, 2017 at the Daryl Roth Theater.

The cast includes, in alphabetical order, Lance Bordelon (Saturday Night Fever), Gregory Driscoll, Kate Hoover, Lindsay Lavin, Tara Moran (Don't Tell Mamma), Michael Perrie, Jr. (The Buddy Holly Story), Brad Rakushin (Everything...Should Know), Joseph Redman (Baby), Shaun Leslie Thomas (Sister Act), and Zach Tomasovic.

Set to a dynamic rock score, Medicine the Musical follows a diverse group of first year medical students as they struggle with their lives, loves, and the rigors of their education to pursue their dreams. Playwright and composer Michael Ehrenreich makes his New York debut with this performance. Ehrenreich is a practicing dermatologist in South Orange, New Jersey. The creative team includes Director Rachel Klein (Around the World in 80 Days; The Anthem; More Than All the World), and Musical Director Andy Peterson (More than All The World; Atomic). The executive producer for the reading is Jenn Maley (Indecent).

The reading is free for anyone to attend, but tickets should be reserved on-line prior to the performance. Ticket-holders will be seated on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets may be reserved at www.MedicineTheMusical.com.
