A special event entitled Broadway Spotlight, March 18, at 8:00 p.m. at the College of Staten Island's Williamson Theater benefits The Harbor Lights Theater Company.

Five Broadway stars grace the stage at Harbor Lights' annual fundraising event that has crowds cheering for more. The event is produced exclusively for Harbor Lights by Stephen DeAngelis and will also honor Board members Julius Nasso and Michelle DeSantis for their long service to the non profit organization that is devoted to bringing Broadway artists in professional productions to Staten Island.

Co-Founder and Executive Artistic Director Tamara Jenkins says, "We look forward to this event every year as it has become a celebration of joy and talent. Last year, with SHOWSTOPPERS, we focused on big numbers with groups of artists performing. This year, we are excited to shine the spotlight on five spectacular individual artists. We will get their "inside scoop" and their fun backstage stories along with the amazing singing and dancing. Once again, we are fortunate to present a stunning roster of artists some of whom are are Tony, Olivier, and Drama Desk winners and nominees."

Broadway Spotlight features Erin Dilly who was nominated for a Tony Award for her portrayal of 'Truly Scrumptious' in Chitty, Chitty, Bang, Bang and starred as 'Mother' in A Christmas Story as well as Nice Work If You Can Get It; Into the Woods and Follies on Broadway. Alton Fitzgerald White, who has done over 4,000 performances as 'Mufasa' in The Lion King, will also appear. Alton's other credits include The Color Purple; Ragtime; Smokey Joe's Cafe; Miss Saigon and The Who's Tommy. Caroline Bowman, who starred as 'Elphaba' in the Broadway production of Wicked and was an original Broadway company member of Kinky Boots; Stephen R. Buntrock of The Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, Miss Saigon, Beauty and the Beast and Titanic; and Tony nominee and Drama Desk Award winner Gavin Lee, who created the role of 'Bert' in Mary Poppins, complete the cast of five. Lee's credits include Les Miserables and Top Hat.

The performance is hosted and produced by Stephen DeAngelis who has produced over 200 different Broadway concerts at venues in New York and across the United States featuring a multitude of Broadway stars including many Tony Award and Drama Desk Award winners and nominees, stars from hit television series and films whose roots are on stage and Broadway's fastest rising young stars.
