Duo Multicultural Arts Center presents the return of ALL ABOUT MEAT (THE GARCIAS), written and directed by Michelangelo Alasa'. ALL ABOUT MEAT (THE GARCIAS) will play 10 weeks from October 4th through December 15th, 2012 at the Duo Theatre (62 East 4th Street, East Village, NYC). Opening Night is Saturday, October 13th at 8pm.

Wait 'til you meet the Garcias. They're rich, they're gauche, they're Cuban and they own the largest chorizo sausage business in the U. S. One day they decide to expand their empire to include an escort pay-for-sex business and all hell breaks loose.

Featuring Michelangelo Alasa' as Carlos Garcia, Mario Bosquez as Dolores Garcia, Cat Lippencott as Jennifer Spears/Gladys, Antonio Minino as Pepito Garcia, Pooya Mohseni as Florinda Taqueria, Mark Moore as Winston Garcia, Susana Perez as Marcia Garcia, Facundo Rodriguez as Manny and Andres De Vengoechea as Carlitos Garcia.

ALL ABOUT MEAT (THE GARCIAS) will play the following schedule through December 15th:

Thursdays at 8 pm
Fridays at 8pm
Saturdays at 8pm

*There will be no performances Thanksgiving Weekend: Thu, Nov 22 – Sat, Nov 24.

DMAC-DUO Multicultural Arts Center under the Artistic Direction of Michelangelo Alasa' is dedicated to developing and producing theater works by Latino playwrights as well as employing Latino directors, actors and designers. DUO Theater achieves this through its programs which include: The MUSICAL THEATER COMMISSION PROGRAM which has commissioned over 28 musicals including the long running Born to Rumba! which ran 520 performances and is the longest running theater production by a US based Latino theater and Chez Garbo which ran 300 performaces. Five of these productions have been recorded and released on CD. The IN A DIFFERENT LIGHT SERIES, showcases Latino actors in plays by leading world playwrights, in roles in which they are seldom cast. Productions have included Bent, The Normal Heart, The Blue Room, Beirut, Betrayal, Eastern Standard.

Duo Theatre is just one of the components of the larger DMAC@Duo Multicultural Arts Center which offers exciting programming which includes Film@DMAC which presents the highly successful NYC Downtown Short Film Festival recently recognized as one of the top film festivals in the world; the Music@DMAC series featuring Cabaret and chamber/new music programs and Dance@DMAC which commissions and presents new dance works. On the 3rd floor Art@ DMAC is dedicated to new media + digital works.
