Up-and-coming theatre artists and professional French braiders Aliee Chan & Bettina Katie Warshaw present the premiere of their original play ALIEE AND BETTINA'S (SORT OF) GROWN UP SLEEPOVER, with book by Aliee Chan and Bettina Katie Warshaw, and directed by Meg Bashwiner. ALIEE AND BETTINA'S (SORT OF) GROWN UP SLEEPOVER begins performances on for a limited engagement in the 16th Annual New York International Fringe Festival- FringeNYC, from August 10th-26th.

The performance schedule is Monday, August 13th at 6 PM; Wednesday, August 15th at 7 PM; Friday, August 17th at 2 PM; Sunday, August 19th at 3:45 PM; and Thursday, August 23rd at 8:45 PM. Aliee & Bettina are just like you: they are gainfully using their art degrees to work as office receptionists. They know what you're thinking: but why aren't they famous? Shouldn't at least one of them be engaged to Jason Segel by now? The answer can't be because Aliee didn't go to senior prom or Bettina had a lackluster trip to Budapest. Or can it? Aliee and Bettina invite you to ALIEE AND BETTINA'S (SORT OF) GROWN UP SLEEPOVER, where you, the audience, will engage them in a live game of Truth Or Dare. Aliee & Bettina are stuck in a place between youth and adulthood, between last night and tomorrow morning. You can help break them free.

The cast features Aliee Chan and Bettina Katie Warshaw. The director is Meg Bashwiner. The stage manager Lizzie Swerdlin. The producer is Lucy Goldberg. Set design and props are by Liz Bianco. The lighting designer is Lauren Parrish.

Aliee Chan (Writer, Performer) Aliee Chan was recently seen in Claire Went to France (Real Girl) at Under St. Marks and the short film Immi (Elle). She is performing in Mallory/Valerie (Mallory, Valerie), which is also set to premiere in The New York International Fringe Festival. A graduate of Montclair State University's BFA Acting program, selected credits include: The Seagull (Paulina), All in the Timing (Kafka), Beirut Rocks (Nasa), Feminist Redefined (Aqsa), as well as serving as co-producer and performer with the V-Day movement throughout her college career.

Bettina Katie Warshaw (Writer, Performer) received her BA in Theater Studies from Emerson College in 2011. Various recent credits include: You are in an open field (General Manager, New York Neo-Futurists), Smoke the New Cigarette (Stage Manager, part of FringeNYC 2011), and The Vagina Monologues (Director).

Meg Bashwiner (Director) Meg Bashwiner is a writer, performer, and co artistic director with the New York Neo-Futurists, best known for their award winning show Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind performed 50 weekends a year at the Kraine Theater. She holds a BA in Theater from UMass Amherst. Meg is a highly productive individual who has made a lot of downtown theater and whose work appears in print through Commonplace Books.
