Backpack Theater Company has announced that after a sold-old debut run at Wagner College in Staten Island, NY, A Little Room: A New Comedy will make its New York debut in New York Theatre Festival's Winterfest for three performances only - March 6, 8 & 11, 2017 at the Hudson Guild Theater.

A knee-slapping comedy about the ups and downs of college life, A Little Room is written by Tom DeMichele and will be directed by BrenDan Stackhouse and Julia Karis.

Bookish pre-med student Tom can't help but envy the laid-back lifestyle of his college roommate Keland. Late one night, an exasperated Tom attempts to wake Keland by popping a party balloon in his ear. Unfortunately, this ruptures Keland's eardrum, leaving the two drenched in blood. Now Tom faces the moral dilemma of whether or not to tell his friend the truth. His web of lies spirals out of control with hilarious and heart-felt results, and along the way Tom, Keland, and their friends learn just how much you can fit in a Little Room.

A Little Room debuted at Wagner College's Stage One in 2013 to a sold out run. It starred Tom DeMichele, Keland Sarno, Beth DeMichele, Phil DellaNoce, and Ailsa Hoke. The original cast will all be returning for Winterfest.

The performance schedule is: Monday, March 6 at 9:00PM; Wednesday, March 8 at 9:00PM; and Sunday, March 11 at 6:00PM at the Hudson Guild Theater at 441 W 26th street. Tickets are $23 and are now onsale at bit.ly/2islBSk.
