This Christmas season, Charles Dickens' classic story of transformation, hope and redemption, A CHRISTMAS CAROL, adapted by Laurie Strickland and John Greenleaf, comes to Abingdon Theatre Company's June Havoc Theatre (312 West 36th Street), for three benefit performances, Friday, December 20 at 7pm and Saturday, December 21 at
2pm and 7pm. Laurie Strickland and Jamie Bullins direct.

This brand new adaptation of Charles Dickens' beloved novel, A CHRISTMAS CAROL, goes back to the root of the story and brings to light the true message Dickens originally sought: the belief in common humanity.

Dickens' work was not only intended to appeal to those of a lower class, but be relatable to all audiences. This new work, inspired by Dickens' original "ghost story" awakens these spirits in a haunting new way, not to frighten, but to remind audiences of memories that seem to fade throughout time, making this, indeed, everyone's carol.

Leading the cast as the miserly Scrooge is Austin Pendleton, an acclaimed writer, director, performer and teacher with a long and storied career in film, television and theatre. He was most recently seen at Abingdon Theatre Company as William Shakespeare in THE LAST WILL, which he also directed.

Joining Mr. Pendleton in the ensemble are Peter Claymore, Dean Conroy, Dom Crincoli, Courtney de la Rigaudiere, Nelson Fisher, Olivia Gordon, Jim Graseck, John Greenleaf, Joy Kelly, Spencer Scott, Paige Spara,
Laurie Strickland, Christopher Stokes, Chantal Thomson, and Joanie Fritz Zosike.

Musical direction and original music is by Dom Crincoli.
