Photo Coverage: 'Drunk Enough to Say I Love You?' Opening

(03/18/2008) - The Public Theater continues its spring season with the U.S. premiere of Drunk Enough to Say I Love You?, a new play by Caryl Churchill presented in association with the Royal Court Theatre. This two-character play, directed by James Macdonald and featuring Scott Cohen and Samuel West, comes to The Public after an acclaimed run at the Royal Court in London last year. Drunk Enough to Say I Love You? will begin previews on Wednesday, March 5 and run through Sunday, April 6 with an official press opening on Sunday, March 16 at 7PM. The performance schedule is Tuesdays at 7 PM; Wednesdays thru Fridays at 8 PM; Saturdays at 2 PM and 8 PM; and Sundays at 3 PM and 7 PM. The Public Theater is located at 425 Lafayette Street. Tickets are $50 with student tickets available in advance, at the box office only, for $25 (1 per ID). There are a limited number of Rush Tickets sold an hour before curtain at every performance available to the general public (Two per person, $20 each, cash only). (03/17/2008) - LAByrinth Theater Company (Artistic Director John Ortiz; Co-Artistic Director Philip Seymour Hoffman; Co-Artistic Director and Executive Director John Gould Rubin) and The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Mara Manus) have joined forces again to reunite the powerhouse writer/director team behind such groundbreaking urban dramas as The Last Days of Judas Iscariot and Jesus Hopped the 'A' Train. Playwright Stephen Adly Guirgis and Director Philip Seymour Hoffman have partnered on the world premiere of The Little Flower of East Orange, an inter-generational ghost story set in an upper Manhattan charity hospital, beginning previews on Tuesday, March 18. The cast for The Little Flower of East Orange will include Ellen Burstyn (Requiem for a Dream), Elizabeth Canavan (LAByrinth's Jesus Hopped The A Train), Liza Colón-Zayas (LAByrinth's A View From 151st Street), Arthur French (Dividing the Estate at Primary Stages), Gillian Jacobs (A Feminine Ending at Playwrights Horizons), Ajay Naidu (Office Space), Howie Seago (Peter Sellars' Ajax), Michael Shannon (Tracy Letts' Bug), Sidney Williams ('The Sopranos'), and David Zayas ('Dexter'). The Little Flower of East Orange will run through Sunday, April 20 with an official press opening on Sunday, April 6 at 7 PM. (02/08/2008) - Roundabout Theatre Company's Off-Broadway production of Crimes of the Heart held its originally-scheduled press opening night on Thursday, February 7 at the Laura Pels Theatre at the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre (111 West 46th). However, the production has rescheduled its opening night to Thursday, February 14. The one-week delay is due to an injury Lily Rabe sustained during rehearsal which caused her to miss a week of preview performances.
