World Premiere of WHIPPOORWILL CALLS to be Presented at IATI Theater

Epheverie Theatre Company will present the world wide premiere of "Whippoorwill Calls” by playwright Gordon Gatsby Griffin (Ordering A Hearse, Teatro LATEA). The directors are Fae Hartt (The Wolves, The Heights Players) and Avelina Rivezzo-Weber (Uncertainty, Portland Stage Company). Performancees will run June 3-7.
The play features lighting design by Katie Gobreski (Rocky Horror Picture Show, Kitchen Sink Theatre), sound design by Robin Wood, costume design by Venus Scantlebury (Into The Woods, Montclair State), set design by Teddy Routhier (Showbiz Kid, Sarah Lawrence), and graphic design by Rory O'Neill (untitled hamlet play, LOVECHILD). Intimacy coordinator for this project is Katie Royse Ginther (Rocky Horror Picture Show, Kitchen Sink Theatre) and mental health coordinator is Michelle Backe. The cast features Maggie Ewing (The Wolves, The Heights Players) as X/Def, Eli Lomax (Designs for Living, Boyz With Apple) as Y/The Body, and Bella Nicole Hartman (Love, Barnelle Theatre) as He/Fed.
There is no greater curse than to be sentenced to an impossible task, alone. Fortunately, X and Y have each other. What they're doing, even they don't fully understand. But they know they must continue. They must complete their task before the whippoorwill calls and they close their eyes forever.
Def and Fed also have each other. Their task, a little more straightforward. They are tasked with retrieving a dead body in the desert outside of their town. What they weren't told, is who the body belongs to.
In Whippoorwill Calls our characters navigate perils and danger with nothing more than each other for guidance.

“Whippoorwill Calls” is set to take place at IATI Theater in Manhattan, NY running from June 3-7, 2026.. IATI Theater is located at 64 E 4th St, New York, NY 10003. Tickets start at $15.
