The Civilians to Honor Sam Pinkleton at THE PEOPLE'S PARTY, 25th Anniversary Spring Benefit

The Civilians will honor Tony Award–winning director Sam Pinkleton at The People's Party, The Civilians’ 25th Anniversary Spring Benefit. The event will take place on Monday, May 11 at 6:30pm at Joe’s Pub.

The People’s Party will feature appearances and performances by Morgan Bassichis, Sam Breslin Wright, Kevin Cahoon, Mike Cefalo, Justin Craig, Andrea Daly, Gibson Frazier, Rebecca Hart, Nina Hellman, Daniel Jenkins, Jo Lampert, Alyse Alan Louis, Tony Macht, Jennifer Morris, Maria-Christina Oliveras, Eric Michael Parker, Brian Sgambati, Maya Sharpe, Ali Stroker, Stephen Trask, and Colleen Werthmann.

Inspired by songs of resistance and acts of collective imagination, The People’s Party is a joyful gathering of artists, audiences, and supporters who believe that stories connect us and shape how we move through the world. The event brings together a vibrant community for songs of protest and joyful resistance, celebrating 25 years of Civilians’ theater. It directly supports the next generation of ambitious work that draws its power from real people, complex lives, and fearless storytelling. Audiences are encouraged to show up, sing out, and help us dream louder together.

Sam Pinkleton is a Tony, Obie, and Drama League Award–winning director. His work for the stage includes the current Broadway revival of Richard O'Brien's The Rocky Horror Show at Studio 54 and Cole Escola's Oh, Mary! on Broadway and in London's West End. With The Civilians, he choreographed Mr. Burns, Pretty Filthy, and Rimbaud in New York and is an alum of The Civilians R+D group.
