The Circle in the Square Theatre School Professional Acting Workshop proudly presents the 2009 Showcase- Scene Night, an evening of short scene presentations featuring the graduating class. The April 27 one-night-only performance includes a post-performance celebration and wine-and-cheese offerings. The performance takes place in Broadway's Circle in the Square Theatre.

Each year, graduating acting students collaborate under the supervision of faculty member and director Alan Langdon to create an original showcase of their acting talents for New York City casting directors and agents. The New York showcase is a valuable start for these young performers, providing them with the opportunity to be seen by many of the leading agents, casting directors and managers in the business.

This year's scene night will offer an opportunity to showcase the diverse talents and ideas of the Circle in the Square students. Each actor and their scene partner will perform a 3-minute scene excerpted from some of the finest plays written for the contemporary, modern, or classical theatre. Various plays include Proof, Buried Child, I Hate, and Picnic, with playwrights such as Neil LaBute, Paul Rudnick, Edward Albee, August Wilson, and many others. Thirty-five actors are currently scheduled to present a total of 19 scenes.

The cast includes Ephie Aardema, Robyn Accetta, Mary Ruth Baggott, Ben Bartolone, Sofia Barclay, Kevin Barlowski, Steven Bidwell, Katie Broad, Maura Burroughs, Jessica Cermak, Rendell Anthony DeBose, Lydia De Medeiros, Alex Dickson, Garrett Lewis Dill, Claire Epstein, Topper Fabregas, Clark Thomas Feeney, Mark Gelsomini, Ashly Goodwin, Andrew Johnson, Shelley Little, Daniel Mian, Fernando Navales, Linda Neel, Heida Olafsdottir, Tony Pajunen, Kate Perkins, Haley Bond Petersen, Kane Prestenback, Courtney Shaw, Benton Sheely, Liam Stabeno, Aaron Thompson, Michelle Walker, and Elian Zach

Admission to Scene Night is FREE. Industry professionals, guests, family, alumni, and general public are all encouraged to attend. Industry professionals should RSVP with the Box Office at (212)
