Philip Paul Kelly Set To Appear In Staged Reading Of THE GOLDEN THRESHOLD

Philip Paul Kelly is set to appear in a staged reading of the musical "The Golden Threshold." The actor will be playing the part of "The Viceroy of The British Raj" in the September workshop at the Bingham Camp in Salem, Connecticut in association with Live & In Color Theatre. Cheeyang Ng & Eric Sorrels wrote the musical set in 1930's India and follows the story of a poet named Maya, during India's quest for independence from British rule.

Kelly recently made a cameo appearance in underground filmmaker Onur Tukel's "Black Magic for White Boys," which premiered at the Fantasia Film Festival in Montreal last month. A short documentary was released online last week and covers the early development and first reading of his rock musical, "Rockquiem for a Wrestler," at the Triad Theater in New York. Mr. Kelly wrote, directed and performs in the musical and is currently planning a 2nd elevated reading at the Triad Theater in the Spring of 2020. A GoFundMe campaign is currently underway to raise funds to cover the costs of production.
