Members of the Bach Festival Choir To Perform with Andrea Bocelli 2/12

By: Jan. 12, 2012

The Bach Festival Society will have 60 members of its Bach Festival Choir join Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli for his only Central Florida performance on February 12, 2012, at the Orlando Amway Center.

The Society welcomes the opportunity to have its Choir, under the direction of Dr. John V. Sinclair, join forces with other world-class musicians. In 2009 and 2007, the Bach Festival Choir performed in partnership with the London Symphony Orchestra during that orchestra’s residencies in Daytona Beach.

The Bach Festival Society has a long tradition of inviting top artists to perform on its own programs as well. The upcoming Bach Festival features a variety of renowned soloists, including tenor Robert Breault, soprano Mary Wilson, violinist Jennifer Koh, and cellist Joshua Roman, and is proud to support a three-week residency by Dr. Christoph Wolff during this time. Dr. Wolff is the famed musicologist, Harvard professor, and author of J.S. Bach: The Learned Musician, which was a finalist for the 2001 Pulitzer Prize.
