JUST OUTSIDE THE DOOR Opens At Theatre Row

It is opening night of the world premiere of JUST OUTSIDE THE DOOR, the latest play from Esteban R. Alvarez III. JUST OUTSIDE THE DOOR is directed by Cate Cammarata (THE ASSIGNMENT, MY LIFE IS A MUSICAL), and features Danny Bryck, Rory Kulz, and Debra Cardona (ON YOUR FEET, MARY POPPINS, GUYS AND DOLLS, MY FAIR LADY US Tours).

JUST OUTSIDE THE DOOR tells the story of Robert and his Abuela. When Robert finds out that his abuela is dying, he does the most reasonable thing he could possibly imagine ... he kidnaps her. While he does so in an effort to help her get better, Robert must also learn how to deal with grief, depression, and self-acceptance before it is too late.

Danny Bryck is captivating as Robert. His deep sincerity encourages the audience to laugh with him, cry with him, and enjoy the journey together. His genuine connection with Debra Cardona makes it seem like they are actually blood relations. Debra Cardona is incomparable as Abuela. From the moment you meet her, she is reminiscent of someone you not only once knew ... but loved so much. Not to be outdone, Rory Kulz is simply endearing as Jamie.

JUST OUTSIDE THE DOOR plays at the Lion Theatre at Theatre Row for only three performances.
