Prehistory: the Barber Figaro the Count Almaviva once helped win the hearts of the maid Rosina. Now Figaro Valet at the count, and former guardian Rosinas, doctor Bartolo, huslege. Bartolos housekeeper, Marcellina, and former music teacher Rosinas, Don Basilio, is also in the Comte's service.

Figaro can hardly wait for the wedding with Susanna. But his geskjeftige fiancee is putting a damper on the joy: the count, which is not something dyds pattern, innpåsliten and will even restore the old feudal law that gives him the right to spend the first night with a bride. Count Cherubino has condensed during a rendezvous with Barbarina and want to send him away. Cherubino Susanna will help. But the count shows up unexpectedly, and Cherubino must hide out. Comte's effort advances are then interrupted by the arrival of Abuna Basilios. He listens to suggestions that Abuna Basilios Cherubino try their hand at both Susanna and his own wife. He rages of jealousy, and Cherubino will soon be revealed. The raging count makes him an officer in the army to get rid of him.
2. Act:
The Countess know that Comte's feelings for her have cooled. Therefore come Figaro in due time: he suggests that the count should be given a lesson by Cherubino dresses up like a woman and gets to the rendezvous instead of Susanna. Figaro then hope that he does not want to stick sticks in the wheels for the wedding. Also, maybe the jealousy do that his feelings for the Countess rekindled. The plan fails, however, thoroughly – the jealous count shows up too early, Cherubino is still in grevinnens apartments, and her good reputation is at risk. Just a cunning contrivance of Susanna can get the count to realize that he is wrong. He will apologize, but then come Figaro back and arouse the Comte's suspicions again, even if he cannot prove anything. Marcellinas requirement to fulfill matrimonial promise gives him a reason to delay the wedding.
3. heed
The Countess and Susanna puts the plans behind Figaros back. Susanna is going to give the impression to set up a meeting with the count, but should then switch clothes with the Duchess.
The count would love to meet Marcellinas demands for marriage, but then discovers that Figaro has Marcellina taupe which shows that he is her long lost son, the result of a relationship she has had with Don Bartolo. Now have to give its assent to count the wedding. In the confusion that follows, leave Susanna Almaviva "accidentally" see letter which is dictated by the Countess, Figaro observes.
4. heed
Figaro believes that Susanna is cheating him, and is furious with the females. Neither he nor his costumed women recognizing Almaviva, but then know Figaro again Susanna's voice. The pair continues, however, to play their roles for the count, which in turn believe that his wife is cheating on him with Figaro. Mad with jealousy he calls together the entire household to expose the machinations. However, when the Countess is starting on his confession, he feels like an idiot and asks her to apologize in front of the whole Assembly.
