Olav Anton Thommessens Corellimaskin assumes, spins further on and simply charges a "concerto grosso" by the 18th-century Italian composer Arcangelo Corelli.

Stravinsky takes the development of Baroque music even further in its popular Pulcinella suite based on a beautiful piece of Italian Pergolesi.

Marianne Beate Kielland is a Norwegian singer, living in the Lofoten Islands, and has a great international career. She has chosen to sing one of their favorittstykker — Berlioz ' Les nuit d ' été (summer nights). The theme of these six romantic songs are dream of distant lands – these are lean for traveling from Java to Scandinavia and from the Baltic to the Pacific.

KSO is looking forward to the reunion with conductor Halldis Rønning who led the successful collaborative concert with KSOs Scu Light in darkness last season. We also congratulate Halldis with new position as assistant conductor of the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra
