Song power Berlevåg is an organization that aims to create a stronger song culture in their region, and has among other things established Finnmark Operakor. Now customers the Opera with his notion of the witch hammer, who had concert premiere in spring 2012 in Berlevåg.
This is a commissioned work from Song power and the action Berlevåg is based on real events and tragic human fates during witch persecution in Finnmark in the 17th century. The witch hammer is one of the few operas with theme from Finnmark. The show is also invited to the Northern Lights Festival before it played at the Norwegian Opera & Balletts Scene 2. The music is by Ragnar Rasmussen and libretto written by Ragnar Olsen.
