Disney's Newsies runs July 9-19 at the Culbreth Theatre at the University of Virginia, featuring one of the largest casts ever assembled by the Virginia Theatre Festival, including Broadway veterans and members of the University of Virginia and Charlottesville communities. The production is directed and choreographed by Matthew Steffens, a Broadway veteran whose credits include Associate Choreographer on the Tony Award-nominated revival of Into the Woods. Steffens previously directed and choreographed VTF's productions of Cabaret and Into the Woods.
