Wolfbane Productions to Present EVIL DEAD in October

By: Sep. 24, 2015

Back by popular demand, Wolfbane Productions presents Evil Dead: The Musical for the third and final year. Staged outside at the Wolf Performing Arts Center (the Wolf PAC) in Appomattox, VA, this campy comedy plays October 1st through 3rd, 8th through 10th, and 15th through 17th at 8 PM.

Based on the cult classic Evil Dead and Army of Darkness trilogy, Evil Dead: The Musical follows five college students as they head into the woods for spring break. But their plans are interrupted when they discover the Book of the Dead and demons come forth to conquer all! Complete with an audience splatter zone, take part in the trilogy through an interactive experience unlike any other.

Joining the cast are NYC-based actors Jonathan Grunert and Lily Davis. Jonathan is making his Wolfbane debut as the protagonist Ash. He was last seen as Chicago's Billy Flynn for CPS Productions, where he also played Orin the Dentist in Little Shop of Horrors. Lily Davis was last seen as Helena in Wolfbane's production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. Reprising their roles as Annie/Shelly, Scott, Cheryl and "Good Ol' Reliable Jake" are Wolfbane company members Marian van Noppen, Hubbard Farr, Christine Yepsen and James Vesey. Rounding out the cast is company member and local favorite, Michael Chagnon, making his Evil Dead debut as Ed.

Wolfbane Productions' Evil Dead: The Musical features artistic direction by Dustin Williams, technical direction by Michael Chagnon, music direction by James Vesey, set design by Christine Yepsen and costumes by Marian van Noppen.
