Virginia Stage Company Presents THE HONKY TONK ANGELS, Now thru 2/9
From the author of Always Patsy Cline comes a wild ride of a show guaranteed to make you stand up and cheer and dance in your seats! Virginia Stage Company invites all to join us for this raucous musical that will blow the roof off the Wells!
The Honky Tonk Angels, written by Ted Swindley and originally produced by The American Theater Company, KitTy Roberts, Producer, Tulsa, Oklahoma, follows three very different women all with the same passion and gift on their journey to Memphis and stardom. Laugh, cry and sing along with us in this new country musical featuring all your favorite songs, Delta Dawn, 9 to 5 and These Boots are Made for Walkin', just to name a few!
VSC will present this lively show, directed by Associate Artistic Director, Patrick Mullins, with a band on stage and a working bar in the theatre. Grab a drink and tap your toes to what is sure to be the most fun you've had at a live theater production!
The Honky Tonk Angels runs from today, January 21st through February 9th, 2014. Opening Night will be Friday, January 24th at 8 pm, and regular performances will run Tuesdays at 7:00pm and Wednesdays-Saturdays at 8:00pm. Matinee performances will be offered on Saturday afternoons at 4: 00pm and Sunday afternoons at 2:00pm.
Each Friday stay after the show, for karaoke on stage with the cast, crew and staff. We will hold a post-show discussion on Sunday, January 26th after the 2pm matinee, where audience members will have the chance to participate in an open discussion with the director of the play.
