Virginia Stage Company (VSC) produces new Play Reading Series. The Company will launch the series with its first event on Monday, February 2nd, 2015. Play Readings begin at 7:00pm, preceded by a Happy Hour and Artist/Playwright Meet and Greet at 6:00pm.

Through a series of five play readings from February-May 2015 VSC seeks to empower the voices of contemporary playwrights that illuminate the postmillennial human condition and strengthen the local artistic community by producing thought provoking play readings reflective of the variety of experiences within our community and beyond.

Performed and Produced in conjunction with Cultivate, VSC's Education and Outreach initiative.

Individuals interested in submitting a script should send a PDF of the script including a brief synopsis and contact information. Submissions will be accepted through January 15 and can be sent to Kat Martin and Tommy Coleman at vsccultivate@gmail.com. Selected playwrights will be contacted through May 2015.

For questions or more information about this event or series contact Janelle Burchfield at jburchfield@vastage.com.
