The Chicago City Limits National Touring Company arrives at The Barns at Wolf Trap to perform their highly lauded improvisational parodies. As New York City's longest running comedic act, which in the past has hosted comedians such as Jerry Seinfeld, Jon Stewart, and Robin Williams among others, the actors of Chicago City Limits recount today's hard news through a series of hilariously relevant satirical sketches. In 2008 and 2009 the troupe was bestowed the MAC Award for Best Comedy/Improv Group by The Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs. Regularly performing at academic institutions and performing arts venues across the United States, the touring company cast has also made appearances at Super Bowl XXIII, HBO's US Comedy Arts Festival, Lincoln Center, the Smithsonian Institution, and The Today Show.

Thursday, February 28 at 8 pm

Celtic Crossroads delivers a display of foot-stomping beats, Irish step dancing, and dramatic lighting as they make their return to The Barns at Wolf Trap. Unlike traditional Celtic ensembles, the group blends their textured, low country Irish rhythms with an eclectic mix of bluegrass, gypsy, and jazz. Often labeled Ireland's Riverdance of music, Celtic Crossroads' youthful lineup boasts an original repertoire that ranges from traditional Celtic ballads to contemporary new world tunes. The group recently finished their two-year World Fusion Tour, captured by PBS. The program documented Celtic Crossroads' performances at festivals and concert venues across the globe as they paid tribute to their Irish heritage and strove to break down cultural boundaries through music. The lively show combines the musicianship of seven young artists, complemented by dancers, and more than 25 different instruments.
