Roanoke Children's Theatre Stages YOU'RE A GOOD MAN CHARLIE BROWN

"Good grief!" Roanoke Children's Theatre begins their 11th Season with the family-friendly hit YOU'RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN. The Roanoke Valley's only professional theatre for schools and families will mount the beloved musical on the Jefferson Center stage (541 Luck Avenue SW) from October 5-7, 2018.

RCT is ready to make the audience smile when the beloved characters from the popular Peanuts comic strip take the stage in YOU'RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN. Charlie Brown and the gang contemplate what happiness "is" and discover how to find it. The production is perfect for the whole family; the gang will sing and dance their way into everyone's heart! Happiness is guaranteed. This musical is based on the characters created by cartoonist Charles Schulz.

"It has been so much fun working with the creative team of YOU'RE A GOOD MAN CHARLIE BROWN," says RCT Artistic Director Pat Wilhelms. "The show features an all-star cast that includes Equity actor Trey Mitchell, Kylie Smith as Lucy, RCT's very own Assistant Artistic Director, Brett Roden and an incredibly talented cast of local youth actors who train in RCT's vibrant Academy. This show intertwines humorous vignettes and catchy tunes to remind us that we can all rise above life's challenges." Wilhelms continues, "I am excited to bring this iconic piece of American culture to a whole new generation! Grandparents, parents and youth alike will laugh and be thoroughly entertained."
