Presbury Theatrical Training Program Announces Their Fall/Winter Staff and Production Titles

SHENANARTS invites you to enroll in our brand new theatre training program for everyone from Elementary students to Adults!

THE PRESBURY THEATRICAL TRAINING PROGRAM is a new "theatre school" that will be offering a unique way for our community to learn about theatre! Through the process of putting together a FULL-SCALE PRODUCTION, students will learn all about the ins-and-outs of theatre, from memorizing lines to tap-dancing!

Beginning Theatre (Grades 3-5) Saturdays, 9:00am - 10:30am
What do you get when you take a young lady under a spell, a handsome prince, a team of magic fairies, an evil sorceress and a fire-breathing dragon from one of the most famous Disney features of all time and put them on stage?.
Beginning Theatre's production for the Fall/Winter Semester of the Presbury Theatrical Training Program, Disney's SLEEPING BEAUTY Kids, that's what!

Intro to Theatre (Grades 6-8) Saturdays, 11:30pm - 1:30pm
Integrating storytelling, tribal dancing, vibrant colors, and a pulsing Caribbean score by the Tony Award-winning team that brought you "Ragtime" and "Suessical," Intro to Theatre's production for the Fall/Winter Semester of the Presbury Theatrical Training Program, ONCE ON THIS ISLAND Jr., is sure to be a unique and original experience for both audience and performer!

Theatre I (Grades 9-12) Saturdays, 3:00pm - 5:00pm
Get ready for a brand new re-envisioning of one of the biggest Off-Broadway and Broadway hits of all time! Based a VERY famous book, this show draws from various theatrical traditions, such as clowning, pantomime, charades, acrobatics and vaudeville and includes a internationally famous score by the composer of "Wicked." Theatre I's production for the Fall/Winter Semester of the Presbury Theatrical Training Program, GODSPELL, is sure to be a groundbreaking and unique performance with a message of kindness, tolerance and love.

Theatre Basics for Adults (Ages 18+) Tuesdays, 7:00pm- 9:00pm
A To-Be-Titled Showcase

Dance for Theatre (3 Levels, Skill-Determined) Saturdays, Various Times
100 YEARS OF DANCE ON BROADWAY
A celebration of dance and choreography in Broadway musicals spanning from the "old classics" to shows currently running in New York!

Theatre Class Tuition - $225/Semester
Dance Class Tuition - $150/Semester

$25 Non-refundable deposit due with registration.
$25 off one class tuition if enrolled in theatre AND dance.
$50 off one class tuition if multiple children are enrolled.

Production titles and class times are subject to change.

In our current economical climate, we understand that tuition might play a large factor in your involvement in this incredible opportunity.

Luckily, we have some wonderful financial assistance to offer you!

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Through the Lin Presbury Memorial Fund, ShenanArts is able to offer a series of scholarships to its students.. This semester, we will be offering ONE, duty-free full scholarship, ONE, "point-system" full scholarship, and TWO, "point-system" partial scholarships (50%). Our "point-system" scholarships include a series of work-hours (to be completed by the student or parent/guardian) that gain "points" toward a student's tuition. If chosen for a "point-system" scholarship, more information about the system will be provided by the Administrator.

PAYMENT PLANS
For the Fall/Winter 2009/2010 Semester of the Presbury Theatrical Training Program, we will be offering two options for Tuition payment scheduling.

A.) Balance payed in full prior to or on the date of the first class (September 12, 2009).

B.) 25% of balance payed in four (4) installments. Each 25% payment will be due prior to or on the first of every month in the semester.
