Dolley Madison Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony
Saturday, July 9

After months of renovation, the Dolley Madison Library, a branch of the Fairfax County Public Library located adjacent to MCC, is reopening Saturday.
The completely renovated building, which incorporates a variety of environmentally-friendly design features, has been modernized and expanded an additional 8,400 square feet. It includes additional study and conference room space and 24 public access computers.The festivities will include performances by the Northern Virginia Hammer Dulcimer group, magical storyteller Steve Kissell and Dolley Madison interpreter Margie Schoenberg.

Berkson is the eighteenth person to receive this recognition "with gratitude for outstanding leadership and support of the McLean Community Center."
She received a plaque at the Friends meeting on June 6. In addition, a plaque with her name will be added to the "Friend in Deed" wall in the Center's main lobby.

Fish and Explore Camp
This camp is structured around elements that naturally excite children such as animals, water and a little dirt! Students will walk away from a week of Fish & Explore with core knowledge of fish species, rods, reels, line, lures and terminal tackle, watercraft, casting, knot tying and outdoor safety.
